It’s 5 o’clock in the morning
Conversation got boring
You said you’re going to bed soon
So I snuck off to your bedroom
And I thought I’d just wait there
Until I heard you come up the stairs
And I pretended I was sleeping
And I was hoping you would creep in
Love is not an obsession or an infatuation. Love is not idolizing someone. Love is equal. You must first learn to love yourself, your flaws, your past, and who you are. Then you must learn to accept the love of someone else and learn to love them. To accept their flaws, their past, and who they are. Love is not jealous, but it trusts in any situation. Love is being a best friend, knowing what the other person needs even when they don’t know what they need. Love is wanting to spend the rest of your life with one person, through the thick and thin. Love doesn’t run away when things get tough, or take the little things for granted. Love is not a feeling or an action, but it is a part of you that you spend your entire life trying to show to another person, but nothing is ever enough.
